One thing you may decide to set up is a shared bank account to pay for dog-related expenses. Maybe you’ll decide to share smaller expenses, like food and poop bags, however, you’ll share the cost of higher-priced expenses, like vet bills.

Training Your Dog When Co-Parenting

New routines, new environment and possibly new acquaintances are all part of the process of changing after divorce. Everyone involved will be affected. Just like canines, dogs also need to adapt and adjust to their new surroundings.

Even if you’re planning to switch to a weekly contract it’s better to keep your dog at one location for a period of two or three weeks at first. Then, they can stay with the other party for the same time. This will allow them to adjust better.

With lots of affection and love your dog should be at ease and able to adjust. And you can make them feel more secure by bringing their bedding to and from each home and also some of their favorite toys.

What if You Can’t Come to an Agreement?

Legally, dogs are legally considered to be property. But not the same way as a car is considered property, as an example, due to the fact that the law protects them. law-enforcement laws for animals protecting them, however they are property.
